Not much attention is being given to the advances being made in understanding the origin of Alzheimer's disease.
And it is not through ignorance, but rather because a wide range of options is being reviewed, among which no one yet dares to state that it is a condition with a single origin, but rather that it is “multifactorial”.
From the time a person begins to show the first symptoms until those around them finally decide to see a specialist (usually a neurologist), there are often many intervening periods of doubt and episodes of passivity on the part of the affected person's relatives, mainly through lack of knowledge or simply because the possibility of a condition of this kind does not come to anyone's mind, so it cannot even be ruled out because it is never put on the table.
At EcoKOMPASS, we take a descriptive stance towards what has been discovered so far and, above all, without ruling out any of the causes put forward regarding the origin of the condition. That is why we venture to suggest that it arises from several causes affecting the same organ: our brain.
Whether there are more or fewer synapses between neurons, whether those synapses are deficient or related to the presence of plaques of substances of various kinds, or simply a blood flow that has gradually become obstructed over the years, are details that will tell us the extent of this and other associated conditions.
In fact, it is still difficult for specialists to clearly differentiate a diagnosis of Alzheimer's from Lewy body dementia or some other similar condition.
That is why we are going to examine every option that arises, highlighting them as new elements related to this and other similar conditions are discovered.
With regard to these diseases, several sections will be presented, such as First Symptoms and Diagnosis and Possible Origins, separated by case type, together with the various advances that emerge both from a strictly scientific point of view and from the approaches of Natural Medicine, since this is one of the objectives we are pursuing.
All articles will be duly updated as new advances are discovered, which we hope will continue to be encouraging both in the discovery of their origins, so that the condition can be prevented, and in their possible treatments, which we hope will appear as soon as possible.
The structure of the Portfolio articles will be as follows:
- – LIST OF POSSIBLE CAUSES. This post will detail the possible causes detected for each of the conditions, with a link to the article related to each of them
- POSSIBLE CAUSE # Detailed article on each of the causes listed above
- POSSIBLE DIAGNOSES Table. Table of all possible diagnoses
- POSSIBLE DIAGNOSIS # Detailed article on each of the diagnoses detailed above
- SYMPTOMATOLOGIES Table. All the symptomatologies reported for each of the conditions.
- SYMPTOMATOLOGIES Post # Detailed article on each of the symptomatologies listed above.
- POSSIBLE MEDICAL TREATMENTS List. List of all possible Medical treatments known to date.
- POSSIBLE MEDICAL TREATMENTS Post# Detailed article on each of the possible Medical treatments known to date.
- LIST OF POSSIBLE NATURAL TREATMENTS. List of all possible Natural treatments known to date.
- POSSIBLE NATURAL TREATMENT Post# Detailed article on each of the possible Natural treatments known to date.

Key Points
A Portfolio of treatments, diagnoses and symptoms of the different types of dementia will be created as a first section, in order to provide a more general overview of this kind of condition.
